Claire Sophie Fernandes is a small independent practice. Some U.S. laws apply only above certain thresholds; where they apply to you, the rights described below are honored in good faith.

Through the contact form: name, phone number (with country code), email address, relevant service, preferred contact method and message content.

Through email, WhatsApp or phone: information you voluntarily share (including, where relevant, details of your immigration plans or documents needed for your file).

Technical data: server logs and technical data that may be generated by the host (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, timestamps), as needed to operate and secure the Site.

The Site does not offer user account registration. We do not knowingly sell personal information.

We use personal information to: respond to contact or consultation requests; assess your situation and prepare possible support; follow up on a file when you have engaged our services; comply with legal obligations where applicable; and maintain the security and proper operation of the Site.

We do not use Site data for targeted advertising, and we do not sell personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration.

5. Recipients and service providers

Personal information is intended for Claire Sophie Fernandes.

It may be processed by service providers strictly necessary to operate: Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) as host; Cloudinary image CDN where applicable; email providers (e.g. Gmail / Google); WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) for conversations you start or accept.

It may be shared with competent Dominican authorities, translators, notaries or other providers only if needed for the procedure you requested, or if required by law.

These tools may involve processing in the United States or other countries. By using the Site or contacting us, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in such locations.

6. Retention

Contact requests without an open file: kept as long as needed to handle the request, then deleted or anonymized when no longer useful (in practice within a reasonable period after the last interaction, unless a longer retention is required).

Client files: kept for the duration of the engagement and then limitedly archived as needed for file management, professional records and legal obligations, then deleted or anonymized.

Host technical logs: according to Cloudflare’s policies and security needs.

7. Your privacy rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain information about your personal data, and to limit or object to certain processing.

Under Dominican Law 172-13, you may have ARCO rights (access, rectification, cancellation and opposition) as provided by that law.

If you are a resident of California or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have rights to know/access, delete, correct, and opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising). You may also have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights.

Reasonable measures are used to protect personal information (limited access, commonly secured communication channels where available, professional hosting). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

The Site and services are intended primarily for adults. If information about a minor is provided in a family file, it is provided under the responsibility of the parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 for marketing purposes.
